The Wine Down Relay is a relay race of 2 or 4 person teams. Each person will run a leg of the race. The race starts and ends at Waterside, Fort Worth.
The race is 18ish miles.
Each person will run 4.5 ish miles on a 4 person team and 9ish miles on a 2 person team.
The Relay starts and ends at Waterside. Waterside is a mixed-use development, anchored by Whole Foods and REI, that capitalizes on the unique physical attributes and location.
This run benefits Streams and Valleys. S&V is a non-profit that focuses on trail expansion, safety and beautification to make life along the trail enjoyable for the community.
The course is the same for each person, consisting of a loop course of 4ish miles. Each team mate will start, end and pass their teams baton at Waterside.
Get creative, crack open a bottle of wine and create your team’s baton! No rules here, just keep in mind that each person on your team has to run with the baton so maybe nothing heavy or glass!
Early Packet pick-up will be available the day before the event. More information will be emailed on the time and place. This option is recommended to avoid long lines on event day.
This run will be timed. You will have a timing bracelet that must go between runners for accurate timing. Awards will be for the top 5 teams!
Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds. If you have already registered and are unable to make the race, you can still collect your race packet up to one month after the race date.
Sure! Be mindful of other runners and space on the trail, and strollers are no problem.
Absolutely! Your dog is not entitled to any wine however. The trails are four-leg friendly. Just make sure to clean up after your pet and be mindful of other runners.
No bikes are not allowed. This is a run. Or a walk. But not a bike.
There is no team registration day-of. You can sign up for the Wine Pass day-of however.
You’d be surprised how many runners forget their running shoes, so bring those. Make sure you have your bib, ID (if you will be indulging), and teammates. Don’t forget your spectacular baton too.
Like all of our events your photos are completely FREE. After all it’s a picture of YOU! All photos are posted on our website.
We love to make running a family friendly activity! Our theme is age 21 and up, so they cannot participate. There are other activities at Waterside that will keep them entertained.
Yes! The Wine Station won’t be until the end however. There will be marked water stops along the course.
You still get Wine! We will close the course at 1:30P (avg. 18 min/mile) you will still be able to finish your run/walk just note that aid stations may be picked up at that time.
